Using tapp.
tapp. is a storefront that helps you discover, install, and review browser-based web apps (progressive web apps, or PWAs) published by independent developers. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you use tapp. on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
Accounts
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or put other users at risk. You can close your account at any time by emailing support@tapp.market.
User content and reviews
When you post reviews, ratings, or other content on tapp., you keep ownership of it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the service.
Don’t post anything unlawful, misleading, harassing, or infringing. We may remove content that violates these terms or that we judge harmful to the marketplace, at our discretion.
Installing apps
Apps on tapp. are progressive web apps — they run in your browser or install as browser-based apps on your device. tapp. curates and lists these apps but does not author their code. Each app is published by a developer who is solely responsible for its functionality, content, and any data it collects from you.
Your use of an installed app is governed by that developer’s terms and privacy policy, not ours. We do our best to vet what we list, but we make no guarantees about any specific app.
Developer and publisher terms
These additional terms apply if you publish an app on tapp.
Submissions. You warrant that you own or have the rights to everything you submit — code, assets, trademarks, and content. You grant tapp. the right to host, promote, distribute, and display your app and its metadata as part of operating the marketplace.
Content rules. No malware, no deceptive behavior, no illegal content, no infringement of third-party rights, no collection of user data without clear disclosure. We may reject or remove any submission that violates these rules or that we judge inconsistent with the editorial direction of the marketplace.
Takedowns. We can remove your app from the marketplace at any time — for a terms violation, a credible legal complaint, a security issue, or a curation decision. Where practical, we’ll tell you why.
Payouts. Paid apps and in-app purchases are processed through Stripe Connect. To receive payouts, you’ll complete Stripe’s onboarding and agree to Stripe’s connected-account terms. Revenue share, fees, and payout schedules will be disclosed in your developer dashboard before you publish a paid offering.
Taxes. You’re responsible for any taxes owed on payouts you receive. We’ll provide tax forms as required by law.
Intellectual property
The tapp. name, logo, editorial copy, and site design are ours. Don’t use them without written permission. Everything you see about a listed app — including screenshots, descriptions, and the app itself — belongs to the respective developer.
If you believe something on tapp. infringes your copyright, email support@tapp.market with the details of the work, the specific URL, and your contact information, and we’ll respond in line with applicable law.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any particular app will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, tapp. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold tapp. harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from content you post, apps you publish, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person’s rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know — by email, in the product, or by updating the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
