What we collect
Account basics. When you sign up, we store your email address, a display name, and an optional avatar image. Email and password are handled through Supabase Auth.
Activity on tapp. We keep a record of apps you install, reviews and ratings you post, and app submissions you make as a developer. This is what makes the marketplace work.
Developer information. If you enroll as a developer to receive payouts, we record that you’ve accepted the developer terms and store a reference to your Stripe Connect account. Identity verification documents and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe directly — we don’t hold them.
Technical basics. Standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) are retained short-term by our hosting providers for security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
We use this information to operate and improve tapp., to authenticate you, to process developer payouts, to communicate with you about your account, and to prevent abuse. We don’t sell your data. We don’t use it for advertising.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your account data at any time. To request an export of your data, to correct something, or to delete your account, email support@tapp.market. We’ll respond within thirty days.
If you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA — including the right to object to certain processing and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. The email above is the way to exercise any of them.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and personally identifying information within thirty days.
Developer payout records, tax forms, and transaction histories are retained longer — typically seven years — as required by tax and accounting law. Reviews you posted may remain visible in anonymized form unless you ask us to remove them specifically.
Children
tapp. is intended for users 13 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@tapp.market and we’ll delete it.
International users
tapp. is operated from the United States, and your information is processed in the US. If you’re using the service from elsewhere, you understand that your data is being transferred to and stored in the US.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we’ll let you know — by email, in the product, or by updating the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
